Read our new article about it here: Sexual harassment in the workplace
Sexual harassment in the workplace refers to unwanted sexual behaviour or inappropriate sexual comments that occur in the work environment. It includes verbal, non-verbal or physical behaviour aimed at humiliating, intimidating or insulting a person on the basis of his or her gender.
Sexual harassment can take various forms, such as unwanted sexual comments, suggestive gestures, sexually explicit jokes, touching, showing pornographic material, unwanted advances or even sexual assault. It is important to note that sexual harassment does not depend on the perpetrator's intent, but on the impact the behaviour has on the victim.
